He has performed in over 40 productions (over 300 performances) at various New England theaters. See http://www.seacoastonline.com/calendar/index.htm
"Camden Brown was completely convincing as the unsavory adult Thénardier in Les Miz. None-to-shabby for a 14 year-old." JEANNE' MCCARTIN - The Portsmouth Herald Spotlight article, "Dazzled: Young Actors on Seacoast," February 2004. He reprised the role of "Thénardier" at the Ogunquit Playhouse during the summer of 2004.
Later in March, Camden will be seen in an ad campaign for the New Hampshire Coalition Against Domestic & Sexual Violence ( http://www.nhcadsv.org/index.cfm
), which includes a Public Service Announcement as well as a print campaign. Currently, Cam is in rehearsals with a lead in his high school play, Willy Russell's musical Blood Brothers.
Camden is also an accomplished vocalist. He performs as a member of the Musical Youth Performers, a community service group sponsored by the StarMight Foundation (http://www.starmightfoundation.org/home.html). He recently contributed a song to the CD "Tru Colors," which is Volume II in the series "The Difference Music Makes," a StarMight Foundation community service project. The proceeds from sales of this CD will benefit the Children's Hospital at Dartmouth Hitchcock and the San Diego Children's Hospital.
During the fall of 2004, Cam represented his high school as a qualifying member of the New Hampshire Jazz All State Choir. In April he will represent his high school as a member of the Classical All State Choir. He is also a member of his high school Jazz Chorus, the St. George's Choir, and is an anthem singer for the UNH hockey teams.
During the summer of 2004, Camden had a principle role in the independent short film "Under Summer," a coming of age story of a group of boys, set in the 1980s. See http://www.tagalongpictures.com
.
Camden works hard at his craft, & has goals of becoming a Shakespearean actor, earning a college degree in theater, & pursuing a career in film. A review from 2004 sums up Cam's focus & enthusiasm as an actor. "The highlight of the show is Camden Brown as Toad. Brown is not a child actor; he is simply an actor. He doesn't throw on some makeup, get onstage and act like Toad. He loves what he's doing; letting the comedy glide and bubble naturally, and because of that, we love watching him do it. He's a man to watch for in the future." SCARLETT RIDGWAY SAVAGE - The Wire Magazine review of the 2004 Seacoast Repertory Theatre production of The Wind in the Willows.
